12/07/2005: "Do-Overs"

I just found out I had to do the bonus section of the time-travel (Perfect Timing, out in May) today. It can be anything - a top ten, funny kind of thing, a personal story, you know, whatever. So I decided to write about the issue of time travel because, well, duh.

The question is: If you could go back in time and change one thing, what would it be? And an even bigger question - would you do it at all?

I'll tell you later what I said.

I would change the whole MANHATTAN PROJECT outcome. NO ONE on the earth would discover that nuclear energy could be used to make a BOMB!!!!!! And used for DESTRUCTION.

Even Oppenheimer himself and Einstein, both leaders in the project.. voiced their remorse..

Wow, Maddie - do I feel shallow or what? Actually, that's a magnificent wish.

And Jordan, there's one or two I could do without, too.

Kim, I was kind of horrible to my sisters, although they were horrible back. Good thing we all grew out of that.

As for me? After due consideration, I decided I wouldn't change a thing. I wouldn't want to risk not having what I have now. Although buying Microsoft stock in the early days wouldn't have been such an awful idea.
