When working at CBS, I was in Carol Burnett’s exercise class. She/I both had experienced alcoholism within our families, mine with my ex. We (briefly) discussed it many times. She’s nicer than one’s next door neighbor–a real classy lady. Many years later, I read that she sued The Enquirer when it said she had gotten drunk in a restaurant & caused an uproar. I knew it were not true & felt so badly for her. Five years later, she collected a large settlement amount from TE & donated the $ to charity. The tabloids lie all the time.
