Sept 14
It’s Random Stuff Friday!
- Anyone here have any experience with Melaleuca?
- I have my screen saver set to rotate all my personal pictures, and since I had to save all the puppy pictures to get them posted, I now have Adorable Puppies and Kitties popping up at random. This is a Very Good Thing as it makes me totally happy to see them all. On the other hand, I end up not working so the auto screen saver kicks in, which is not a good thing as I have a book due really, really soon.
- I’m putting together the online workshop, which is interesting because I’ve only ever given the class live. For me, that means I have an outline of things to cover, but I hadn’t ever written it out. I’m trying to include everything, but I really hope it’s an active class. So much of what I teach live has to do with audience participation. So far, so good, but the proof will be in the pudding. (mmm…pudding)
- Dr. Who Tonight! Weeeee!
- I’m almost finished reading AMERICAN GODS by Gaiman (terrific book!) and now have to decide whether to read TWILIGHT or DIRTY next. Recommendations?
- I’m planning a container bulb garden. Another first for me. I’m really going to miss my tomato plants. In fact, I’ll miss my whole little garden. The herbs! I made a mint-rosemary tea yesterday and I was squee-ing like a little girl that I got the ingredients (except the black tea) from my garden!
- I’m off to the bigger city to get wonderful things done - facial, hair, massage. If I was very, very rich, I’d hire a full time masseuse and one of her jobs would be to massage my scalp all day. Yes. I’m that odd.
Have a great weekend, and if you haven’t submitted your pet yet, go to the Who’s Your Doggie post and do it!

I’d never heard of Melaleuca. Had to go look it up.
Read DIRTY.
September 14th, 2007 at 11:54 amI love Melaleuca. I have athsma and am allergic to everything, so I am their target market. *g* Cleaning products that don’t send me to the hospital gasping for air! Also, the soaps are so gentle on the skin. And the all-purpose Melagel is our #1 first aid item, always dabbing it on the kids for a scrape, a rash, etc. Painatrate is a hiker’s best friend, too. Er, why do you ask?
Recs: Read Twilight. You will be sucked in, so get New Moon and Eclipse lined up and waiting.
Have a great weekend, Jo!
September 15th, 2007 at 4:41 amWow, and to think all I did yesterday was to go to town for the dentist and the grocery store!
Of course, I still have tomatoes growing. ;-)
I say read *Dirty*, or at least carry it with you everywhere: just think of the things people will think of you while you sit reading a book with that title!
September 15th, 2007 at 11:22 amI’m also going to look up the Malaleuca thing. And American Gods just about blew my socks off. I think Anansi Boys is the sequel or at least linked to it. Great book. Other than that, I have no recommendations (haven’t read the other books, sorry).
September 16th, 2007 at 9:09 amOff to the big city for facial, hair, massage - sounds woooonderful!
Make the most of Dr Who - word has it that David Tennant will be taking a years break to do Hamlet for the RSC - so no Dr Who in 2009.
Willa *another one who had to look up Melaleuca!!*
September 17th, 2007 at 2:54 amI’m trying the whole Melaleuca thing. I’ll report back.
I’ve chosen Dirty to read next. Thanks for chiming in. Of course I’m so behind in work at the moment, I have no idea when I’ll be able to read a thing. ::sigh::
Bri, I agree. AG was terrific. I have Anansi Boys in the lineup.
Willa, I heard about Tennant. Doesn’t he realize I need my Dr. Who fixes? Sheesh. The nerve. And hey, did you see BLINK? One of the best episodes of television I’ve ever seen. I’ve watched it twice now, and I’m still knocked out. And I want Sally Sparrow to be the next companion!
